Comparison sets with Aqualizer Ultra medium / FreeBite air CMD / AquaSplint mini
The Aqualizer is the conventional dental splint. Soft, available in three different shapes and three fill levels, but with limited durability (see the Aqualizer product page for more information). The set contains the Aqualizer in the standard form "Ultra" and the medium height "Medium".
The FreeBite was specially designed for the solution of temporomandibular joint compressions and chronic tensions of the masticatory musculature and, in contrast to the Aqualizer and AquaSplint mini, does not have the task of lying passively in the mouth, but is intended to actively stimulate the acclimatisation of the musculature. This is done by the new shape, which becomes thicker towards the back teeth. Due to the inherent elasticity of the sheath, the rear teeth always contact first and set incentives for the muscles to release tensions that may be necessary to keep the rear teeth in contact. To do this, you start with a much shorter wearing period. The FreeBite has a considerably longer lifetime than the Aqualizer and is included in this set in the standard form "CMD" with air filling.
The AquaSplint mini has a similarly good durability as the FreeBite and can be individually bent to the jaw shape by means of an inserted wire (please note that the bending of the somewhat springy wire must always be slightly exaggerated so that the shape is correct after release). Is it worth the extra expense of having to buy the Aqualizer every few weeks, or is the AquaSplint mini just as comfortable to wear? Or is it even more comfortable because it has no sharp edges?
Which device can help you the best? Experience has shown that it is hard to predict which user will cope better with which water cushion. You can only test it individually in a direct comparison. For some, the softer bite feeling on the Aqualizer is decisive, for others the fact that no sharp edges protrude from the AquaSplint mini. Unfortunately, for hygienic reasons, you cannot put them in your mouth and then exchange them. However, we help you with our comparison sets at a reduced price, which enable you to compare these devices easily and directly with each other. Perhaps a combination is the best: one during the night and the other for exercises during the day or for immediate preparation for a bite at the dentist?
Please note that all manuals are in German language.
