The Aqualizer short term temporary diagnostic splint relieves TMJ pain, and assists in differential diagnosis, helping to reposition the jaw to where it works best. Using sealed plastic foils makes a very thin height possible. The upper edge is lined foam to increase softness and prevent gum irritation. Expected usability is between one and two weeks.

When choosing Aqualizers, decide on the size (ultra, mini or slim) and the height (high, medium or low).
Size:

Ultra: the standard classic for average mouth sizes in a comfortable shape.

Mini: created especially for the smaller mouths or shortened dental archs.

Slim: the same length as the "ultra", with a narrower shape.
Thickness / Height:

high: for deep bites.

medium: for normal bites.

low: extra low water filling, when a higher depth is poorly tolerated.
Important notes:
The lifespan of the Aqualizer is limited to a few weeks. The maximum load capacity is also limited – if the load is too high, the weld seam can come loose and the distilled filling water can leak out. The force required for this can be achieved or exceeded by biting hard on the Aqualizer. This is not a manufacturing defect, but a product-related limit to the load capacity. The Aqualizer is also not 100% impermeable to water vapour. As a result, its filling can decrease over the course of months even if the Aqualizer is not used. To prevent this, we therefore recommend freezing Aqualizers for longer storage.
For hygienic reasons, we cannot exchange used Aqualizers. If you believe that your Aqualizer has been manufactured incorrectly, please send it back to us for inspection. We will be happy to contact the manufacturer on your behalf. However, we can only provide a replacement if the manufacturer acknowledges a material defect. You can avoid overloading your Aqualizer by first wearing it during the day and only wearing it until you notice that you are clenching it with your teeth. Only when you can wear your Aqualizer for an hour or longer without clenching should you try wearing it at night if necessary.
Do not use the Aqualizer if you have an impaired swallowing or gag reflex!
