Ear clamp for stimulation of reflex-points
Electrode clamp for stimulating reflex points on the ear
The invention of this ingenious ear clip dates back to the 1990s, when Dr. Seidel worked at the Institute for Temporo-Mandibular Regulation (ITMR), where he regularly held courses on ear acupuncture. As an experienced lecturer and practitioner, he soon integrated the neuromuscular function theory of the ITMR into his ear acupuncture by paying much more attention to the back of the ear than had previously been the case.
The reflex points of the muscles are located on the back of the ear, directly opposite those for the structure (bones, tendons, ligaments) on the front of the ear. The basis for this is formed by so-called "somatotopias", through which the body as a whole reflects en miniature on itself at certain points, as is the case with the hands, feet, but also the ears.
For the treatment of reflex points on the ear with these braces, one only needs to know their approximate position, because reflex points are not present in the same way in every person, but are characterized by a particularly low skin resistance when the represented body area is stressed. The electrical stimulation automatically seeks the path of least resistance and thus the active reflex point under the carbon silicone electrode of the clamp. In addition, the front of the ear (structure) is automatically treated simultaneously with the back (musculature). This type of reflex point therapy is therefore easy for anyone to learn.
The clamps have 2,0 mm sockets as connection, but shielded plugs with plastic edging cannot be inserted into them. Therefore, we offer the ear clip optionally in a set with two adapter cables, so that the ear clip can also be used with TENS units like the MUSKELaktiv
