Multisplit Boosterplate 10 mm
This 10 mm intermediate plate for magnetic splitcasts has two profiles in one: Splitex® from Amann-Girrbach and Adesso Split® from Baumann Dental. Two applications are particularly interesting in combination with the HIP mount:
This plate precisely compensates for the difference in height that is achieved, for example, with the heightening kit from Baumann Dental for certain "carbon" articulators from Amann-Girrbach. This increase makes sense for the "Carbon" because it creates more space in the upper part of the articulator and thus enables problem-free model orientation with the Vector Analyzer. However, if you want to place a model in the raised articulator that was mounted elsewhere, simply place the 10 mm intermediate plate on the upper part and return it to its original dimension without having to remove the heightening kit.
When using the Pitch Corrector in the Physiologic Articulator, the lower part of the articulator may not have enough space and the HIP mount cannot be set low enough to position the models correctly with the Vector Analyzer. Here you can simply adjust the upper model 10 mm too high, now you have enough space for mounting with the mounted Pitch-Corrector and correct this afterwards by placing the intermediate plate between the upper part of the articulator and the upper model.
These intermediate plates are therefore an extremely useful utensil for everyday use!
