This 20 mm intermediate plate for magnetic splitcasts has two profiles in one: Splitex® from Amann-Girrbach and Adesso Split® from Baumann Dental. Above all, it helps to bridge unnecessary distances in the articulator. For example, if the models are adjusted in a standard articulator with the Vector Analyzer, they are placed significantly higher in the articulator and a massive lower mounting base is obtained. This wastes gypsum, produces unnecessarily much waste and also costs precision due to the gypsum expansion already relevant in these dimensions. Simply place the 20 mm intermediate plate on the lower part of the articulator and the mounting field in the articulator is much better tailored to these requirements!
