The 4th generation of our magnetic splitcast plate. All the advantages of version 3 are retained, but the panel is now milled from high-strength precision plastic. Residual gypsum hardly clings to it any more, making it easier to clean and less susceptible to scratching.
The ParaspliT plate can be adjusted at any point in the articulator. The back of the plate has three undercuts, so that the plate can be simply plastered in and forms a new splitcast mounting point in the articulator in this position. This is particularly useful where an articulator is not properly dimensioned for the intended purpose and you would need large plaster bases every time to position the models as desired. ParaspliT panels help to save time, plaster and waste.
This makes it particularly easy to articulate:
-
Insert stainless steel spacer plate
-
Fit washer M13 as solenoid armature
-
Position and plaster the model. A splitcast automatically forms on the ParaspliT plate.
After the mounting plaster has cured, the washer is embedded in the plaster base. As soon as the spacer plate is removed, this base no longer sits flat but peripherally. There is then a small gap at the base so that the seat of the splitcast is not compromised by small crumbs, etc.
You can also create a key and thus synchronize ParaspliT plates in several articulators - even in articulators from different manufacturers, because the ParaspliT plates are freely positionable. The recesses at the edge fit on the table of the HIP mount, so that the first plate can be easily midsagittally aligned and positioned parallel to the table plane in the articulator.
