Adhesive electrodes, 50 x 50 mm
Reusable gel electrodes as collecting electrode or for large muscles
Textile electrodes from STIMEX are reusable and coated with a gel that is both conductive and adhesive. STIMEX electrodes are only available with connection sockets for 2 mm plugs and can therefore not be used on cables with push-button connection.
The adhesion to the skin also depends on the size of the electrode. 50x50 mm is a well-adhering universal size for treatment with TENS/EMS anywhere on the body, except for stimulation of the masticatory muscles, where small electrodes give a better result because they stimulate more selectively and irritate the mimic muscles less.
Application of the STIMEX electrodes:
Clean the skin in the area intended for the electrode, remove grease, make-up and creams. It is best to rub with a swab soaked in alcohol.
Lift one corner of the electrode from the backing foil and remove it. DO NOT PULL THE CABLE!
Place the electrode on the cleaned skin and press on for 10 seconds. DO NOT PLACE ON OPEN WOUNDS!
Remove the electrode from the skin after use and immediately place the electrode back on the backing sheet. Then place the backing foil back into the bag and close the bag. DO NOT USE ELECTRODES ON DIFFERENT PATIENTS!
If the adhesive strength of the gel decreases, the gel can be slightly swollen with a few drops of warm water. If the adhesive power of the gel is exhausted after a few applications, the electrode can also be stuck with a plaster. However, if this causes stinging sensations, the electrode is worn out.
Cool storage extends the shelf life of STIMEX electrodes.
